Julie Erfle

Julie Erfle grew up in rural North Dakota but has proudly called Arizona home for more than two decades. A summa cum laude graduate from Minnesota State University Moorhead, she earned her degree in broadcast journalism and started her media career in Phoenix, writing and producing for KPHO TV5 before joining the team at 3TV.

Personal tragedy led Julie down the road to political activism, where she emerged as a passionate advocate for humane immigration reform. She launched a widely read blog and became a familiar voice on Arizona television and radio as a political commentator. In 2016, she founded her communications firm, Erfle Uncuffed, where she helps clients shape compelling messaging, build brand identity, and earn media attention.

Julie has served as executive director of Progress Now Arizona, contributed as an award-winning columnist for the Arizona Mirror, and is a fellow at both Leading For Change and the Flinn-Brown Arizona Center for Civic Leadership. She and her husband Alan have four grown sons and a blossoming brood of grandchildren.
