(she, her) Sophia brings more than a decade of marketing, communications, and community engagement expertise to her role as a Development and Communications leader. She builds systems that deliver high quality audience engagement and strong, enduring relationships. Aside from her profession, Sophia advocates for mobility justice as a member of Familias Unidas Ganando Accesibilidad (bimonthly community bike rides, school bike clubs, advocacy in DC), as a member of the Mobility Unbound Network, and as Co-Chair of the Complete Streets Coordinating Council, making streets safer for all the ways to get around Tucson. She LOVES her bike, being in any body of water, consuming ancestral foods and spirits, and nerding out on facilitation and distillation. Sophia has a BS in Urban and Regional Development from the University of Arizona College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. She puts it to work with her love and understanding of cities, community-led infrastructure and transportation.
